Who We Are

Stitching 4 Outreach provides a variety of hand-made items in support of Our Lady of Guadalupe’s Outreach program which serves our community and occasionally for the needs of the parish, through our knowledge, experience, and efforts. All items created by our Ministry are delivered through OLG’s Outreach program to various shelters and agencies throughout the San Antonio area. A few examples include homeless shelters, victims of domestic violence, children in foster care, seniors including retired religious, mentally & physically ill children and adults, military families, immigrants, and families of the incarcerated. The items vary but the purpose is the same – to help others in need.

“Each of you should use whatever gift you have received to serve others, as faithful stewards of God’s grace in its various forms…so that in all things God may be praised through Jesus Christ.”

Use your unique talents and abilities to serve others and bring glory to God on your mission outreach. Share his love creatively and faithfully.
 

Every Skill Is Valuable

While the ability to sew is great, we have members who do not sew and work on various projects. Everyone brings their own skills and ideas to the group. Members participate in creating quilts, creating multi-use draw string bags, receiving blankets, tote bags, rosary bags and pillows. So many more items are created and depend on the various needs.
