This in-person interview takes place at the parish office (located to the right of the church) and requires both members of the engaged couple to be present. This interview may be scheduled Monday through Friday 9 AM to 5 PM. Like any wedding appointment, we encourage couples to make time for this interview amidst their busy schedule. Should a couple need to meet after-hours, please let us know to see how we can best accommodate you and your fiancé.
After meeting with one of our priests, you will then be able to secure your wedding date with our team. Please note, this can only be done after you have completed steps 1, 2, and 3.
After your prenuptial interview, you and your fiancé will receive an email from our marriage ministry team outlining the rest of your marriage prep journey. This email will include any and all requirements to have your marriage take place at Our Lady of Guadalupe - Helotes. Once these are all completed, you are ready to get married!

After meeting with one of our priests, you will need to get in touch with the church you want to be married at to secure your wedding date. Most churches will not allow you to secure a wedding date until you have officially begun the marriage preparation process. Most will ask the church of preparation (in this case, Our Lady of Guadalupe - Helotes), for a letter of Proof of Preparation. Please contact the church to ask what their requirements are and what they need Our Lady of Guadalupe - Helotes to provide so you may secure your date.

For brides and grooms who have been baptized in the Catholic Church, you will need to request a newly signed, dated, and sealed certificate of baptism with notations from your church of baptism.
