Stewardship is a way of living our lives. It is shown in many books of the Bible how we are called to live a life of stewardship. We must first recogonize that everything we have is a gift from God. We must use these gifts given to us and give them back to others and the Church. We can do that in three main ways: By praying, participating, and through our generosity.
Stewardship is about dedicating time to connect with God through prayer, acknowledging each day as a divine gift. We aim to engage in spiritual practices like prayer, participating in the Sacraments like Confession, attending Mass, Eucharistic Adoration, reading scripture, quiet reflection, and meditation daily. In all moments, we look for guidance from God on utilizing the gifts bestowed upon us.
Stewardship emcompasses the sharing of talents. Understanding that God has bestowed each person with distinct skills and abilities, we aim to not only utilize our own talents, but also to support and invite others to contribute their talents to fulfill the mission and ministry of the Church.
Stewardship involves giving financially as well. While giving time and talent is vital, Jesus urged us to give as we have received. Recognizing our financial blessings, we endeavor to give generously to advance God's kingdom. While aiming for the 10% tithe is significant, we understand it may not be immediately feasible. However, we are committed to assessing our giving percentage and gradually increase our generosity towards reaching the full tithe.

My parish is composed of people like me.
I help make it what it is.
It will be friendly, if I am.
It will be holy, if I am.
Its pews will be filled, if I help fill them.
It will do great work, if I work.
It will be prayerful, if I pray.
It will make generous gifts to many causes, if I am a generous giver.
It will bring others into worship, if I invite and bring them.
It will be a parish of loyalty and love, of fearlessness and faith, of compassion, charity and mercy, if I, who make it what it is, am filled with these same things.
Therefore, with the help of God, I now dedicate myself to the task of being all things that I want my parish to be.
Amen.
